Koniecznie z hashtagami: #family #love #vacation
Zdjęcie numer dwa (z Linkedin) - on na jakiejś konferencji branżowej. Pełna sala, wszyscy zasłuchani. On opowiada o swoim sukcesie, metodach zarządzania firmą i...o szczęściu jakie go spotkało w postaci wspaniałej firmy i ludzi jacy ją tworzą. Rzęsiste oklaski, kilka próśb o wspólne zdjęcie po występie. Hashtagi: #sukces #unicorn #startuplife
Wpis na Facebooku (plus oczywiście fotka) z wyraźnie zaznaczoną godziną i miejscem (modna siłownia o godzinie 5.30). On i jego trener osobisty zadowoleni po wspólnym treningu. Jest piątek, godzina 17.30. Ty nadal siedzisz w pracy i zamiast kończyć nudny raport dla szefa zabijasz czas (i powiedzmy szczerze - z masochistyczną przyjemnością) przeglądasz kanały social media znanych przedsiębiorców z branży startupowej. Powoli wbijasz sobie tę cyfrową igłę głęboko w głowę.
Siłka, dieta (bo za kilka miesięcy kolejny IronMan), dużo czasu dla trójki dzieci, super prezenty dla żony na rocznicę ślubu, wygrany kontrakt, okładka branżowego pisma no i wizyta w "śniadaniówce". Na dokładkę kolejna runda finansowania przypieczętowana podpisem złotym piórem.
Widzisz jak na dłoni ich życie, czas wolny, pasje, rodzinę i sukcesy. Pięknie udokumentowane w 4K. Widać, że ktoś poświęcił dużo czasu na kadrowanie i dobór materiałów. Każdy wyjazd, konferencja, spotkanie z Ważną Osobą. Wszystko ładnie obrobione, podane i opisane.
Przepełnia cię zazdrość. Masz poczucie, że to co robisz jest puste i miałkie. Chcesz być jak oni. Mieć i korzystać z życia. Czerpać z niego garściami. Przyciągać wzrok świetną sylwetką, wzbudzać zainteresowanie na spotkaniach i konferencjach. Mieć tylu fanów, followersów i przyjaciół na tych wszystkich kanałach. Co zrobiłeś źle? Jaki popełniłaś błąd?
Odpowiedź jest prosta - nic.
Patrzysz na fałszywe, zręcznie wykreowane z wizerunki. Nikt normalny nie wstaje codziennie o 5.00 żeby biec na siłownię. Zazwyczaj urlop trwa dwa tygodnie a nie dwa miesiące i w hotel w cenie nowego samochodu.
Normalni ludzie nie gotują codziennie super wykwintnych potraw dla wszystkich swoich znajomych osób. Nie spędza się całego dnia dobierając odpowiednie hashtagi do zdjęć ze "spontanicznego, weekendowego wypadu z rodziną za miasto".
Świetnie to pokazała i opisała Amy Nelson w swoim artykule w którym skrytykowała publikację z The New York Times o CEO pewnej firmy, który pokazuje jak zachować work-life balance. Idealizowanie obrazu przedsiębiorcy i przypisywanie cech superbohatera bez skazy budzi zachwyt ale krótkotrwały.
Prawdziwe życie prezesa czy menadżera młodej firmy odbiega od tego co widzimy na zdjęciach i profilach naszych "przyjaciół". Nie zobaczymy tam wymiocin chorego dziecka, które postanowiło się rozchorować w noc poprzedzającą podpisanie ważnej umowy.
Nie znajdziesz opisu kolejnej awantury o kolejny kilkudniową konferencję. Nie uświadczysz opisów zmagania się ze swoim zdrowiem, ratowaniem życia w walce ze śmiertelną chorobą.
Nie szukaj filmów z walki z depresją, leżenia miesiącami na oddziale onkologicznym czy rehabilitacji po wylewie z przepracowania.
Takie opisy i zdjęcia rzadko kiedy zdobywają lajeczki i retwitty. Zwykłe życie źle się sprzedaje na Instagramie.
Ciesz się tym co masz, przestań żyć cudzym życiem. Masz je tylko jedno i cholernie szybko przelatuje przez palce.
