Umarło Yahoo niech żyje Altaba

Finalizacja przejęcia Yahoo przez Verizon zakończyła się. Pożegnano Yahoo! a powitano Altaba (chociaż krążą plotki, że jednak marka Yahoo! zostanie). Nikt do końca nie rozumie po co ale widać dla nowego właściciela ważne było symboliczne odcięcie się od przeszłości oraz rządów Marissy Mayer.

Czemu? Jeśli ktoś chciałby wyrobić sobie zdanie o byłej Pani Prezes polecam tę książkę. Autor publicznie narzekał, że w swojej pracy musiał powoływać się na anonimowe źródła bo obecni ale nawet i byli pracownicy po prostu śmiertelnie bali się wszechwładnej Szefowej. Czy Yahoo! mogło być fajną firmą mając taką osobę na szczycie kierownictwa?

Nikt nie ma wątpliwości, że szukanie nowego otwarcia dla tego ikonicznego portalu związanego jeszcze silnymi korzeniami z "bańką dotcomów" trwało zbyt długo. Obecnie kolejny na celowniku jest Twitter. Problem w tym, że Ćwierkacza już nawet nikt nie chce kupić.
